Vet Depth: The Challenge of Social Media as Professional Development

Walter McKenzie recommends that our social media engagement can evolve into engagement, when we not only validate each other’s posts with our experiences; but also present dissonant views and experiences. This can enhance the depth of our discourses and learning; as happens in a professional development forum. We have all attended International Conferences which changed our perspectives 90 degrees or even 360 degrees. Haven’t we?

A blog or Twitter conversations can become a conference or even a workshop, if we join forces in a lightly structured manner. Possibly an initial  norming session on Google Hangout or Skype or WizIQ can set the pace for the interactive sessions. Walter, why not give it a try? You have gathered enough critical mass…
