I will be dealing extensively with communications within crucial conversations, tough conversations, and so on…so building up to it with this reblog.

Lovers at Sunset(Step 3: Dialogue) Talking through things seems like such a basic part of a relationship, but it takes skill and practice. It is easy to go into a conversation thinking that you will be able to remain relaxed and composed, but tough conversations can trigger us and cause us to react in ways that we had never intended.

Healthy dialogues include sharing, listening, and responsiveness. When there is something that you would like to talk to your partner about, it is usually helpful to preface that you would like to talk about something (it allows your partner to not be blindsided and gives the both of a you a chance to get in the right mindsets).
